Setting Sail with the Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection
The launch of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection was eagerly anticipated for three years, with delays due to various circumstances, including slowdowns at the shipyard, the pandemic, and the relocation of its first yacht to a new shipyard for completion. The long wait came to a thrilling end when Evrima, the first ship of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, welcomed its guests in Barcelona in 2022.
Evrima is the first superyacht in a planned trio, which will include Ilma and Luminara, set to join the collection in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Though initially announced as identical, the designs of the ships will diverge, with Ilma and Luminara being significantly larger than Evrima. These later yachts will also have a higher percentage of larger suites. Notably, the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is considering expanding to a five-ship fleet, bringing more options for luxury travel.
Exquisite Accommodations and Amenities
Each cabin in the Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection is referred to as a “suite,” embodying the level of luxury you can expect. The suites are designed with a modern interior, sleek surfaces, mixed textures, and muted earth tones. Upon arrival, a chilled bottle of Moët et Chandon champagne greets guests in their suites, setting the tone for a lavish vacation.

Sailing Itineraries
The Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection offers a diverse range of itineraries. Starting its sailing career in Europe, Evrima embarked on five European itineraries before repositioning to the Caribbean, Costa Rica, and the Bahamas for the winter. Their “warm weather” season offers a mix of five-, seven-, 10-, and 12-night itineraries, making it much easier for working professionals to book them, while also accommodating those who have more time with back-to-back sailings.
Sustainability at Sea
An integral part of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s plan involves focusing on sustainability. The upcoming ships Ilma and Luminara will be fitted with four dual-fuel engines and utilize liquefied natural gas (LNG) as their main fuel source, significantly reducing emissions compared to traditional practices. Advanced water treatment systems, efficient heat recovery loops, and LED lighting are some of the features included to minimize environmental impact.
