Ticket Pricing
There are five different types of admission tickets for the Eiffel Tower at varying prices. Some include access by stairs or elevator:
- Stairs to 2nd Floor: €11.30 for adults, €5.60 for youth (12-24), and €2.80 for children (4-11)
- Elevator to 2nd Floor: €18.10 for adults, €9.00 for youth, and €4.50 for children
- Stairs to 2nd Floor with elevator to the summit: €21.50 for adults, €10.70 for youth, and €5.40 for children
- Elevator to the summit: €28.30 for adults, €14.10 for youth, and €7.10 for children1.
When to Visit
The recommended time to spend at the Eiffel Tower is at least three hours if you plan on going up the tower. If you plan on having a meal at the tower, expect to spend about 4 hours at lunch or 5 to 6 hours at dinner. If you can’t get tickets or decide not to go up, you should plan on spending 20 minutes walking through the area until you capture that perfect picture of you touching the top of the Eiffel Tower1.
Getting There
The Eiffel Tower is located at Champ de Mars. The preferred method of transport in Paris is the metro. You can get off at the Camp de Mars / Tour Eiffel station on the RER C line, or at the Ecole Militair on Line 8 or Bir-Hakeim on Line 6. Buses numbered 30, 42, 80, 82, 86, or Direct 2 can also get you there1.
